Indiana Review is currently giving out its ‘1/2 K’ Prize for a poem or piece of fiction or nonfiction. The submission deadline is August 15, and the prize is $1000. This year’s contest judge is Aimee Nezhukumatahil who has published multiple volumes of poetry and is the poetry editor of Orion magazine. (You can find some of my favorite poems by her here and here.) This looks like a wonderful opportunity, especially for individuals who write poetry.
If you are interested in learning more, complete contest rules and submission information can be found at https://indianareview.org/contests/.
Since the deadline is Monday, it might be a good idea to submit something you have already written. Or perhaps you’ll have a blast of inspiration and spend the weekend writing in a creative whirlwind. Either way best of luck!
