Ashland University’s literary journal River Teeth is holding its annual contest for books of literary nonfiction. In addition to receiving a $1000 prize, the winner will have his/her manuscript published and marketed by the University of New Mexico Press. Manuscripts must be 150-400 double-spaced pages in length, and the contest will accept previously self-published works. Though a team of judges will narrow down the manuscript selection, Andre Dubus III, the author of House of Sand and Fog and The Garden of Last Days, will decide on the winning manuscript. The deadline for applying is October 31.

Best if luck to anyone who enters! The page on previous contest winners looks really interesting, and I hope that one of your names will join it.
