Though I suspect a few of you have heard of this one already, I want to share a wonderful upcoming writing contest. The Masters Review is currently holding its Fall Fiction Contest. The Review is encouraging emerging writers to submit stories under 7000 words to be judged by fantasy and horror author Kelly Link. (Link has won a Hugo award, three Nebula awards, and a World Fantasy Award, so she knows her stuff.) The winner will receive $2000 and publication, and other prize winners will earn lesser cash prizes as well as publication.

The deadline for entry is November 15, so if you are interested in learning more, check out the contest page at https://mastersreview.com/fall-fiction-contest-2000-publication/. That page also has links to past year’s winners so that you can get a feel for the types of works that do well in the contest.

Best of luck to any participants!
